About Koko Art Shop
Born on Etsy, Growing Independently
Koko Art Shop began as a dream in Miami back in 2008, when our family owned a little sign and printing shop. At first, we printed for others, but in my free time I started painting, illustrating, and building a collection of personal artwork. In 2017, while searching for a way to share those designs, I discovered Etsy, a wonderful marketplace for creatives, and listed my first murals.
What started as a handful of designs quickly grew into a full collection loved by families and designers worldwide. Today, our exclusive murals remain bestsellers, and we’ve also expanded through collaborations and licensing with other talented artists. But at the heart of Koko Art Shop are the designs I create by hand as a painter and illustrator, each one born from brushstrokes, sketches, and imagination.
Made in Miami
Our studio is located in the Bird Road Art District of Miami, Florida, a colorful neighborhood full of artists and makers. Here, in our state-of-the-art workshop, we do everything under one roof: designing, printing, cutting, quality-checking, and carefully packaging your orders. Nothing is outsourced, and every mural is prepared by our small team with care.
Every time you order a mural, a designer prepares a custom proof for you to review. Once approved, the design is printed on our large-format latex printer, trimmed into panels, checked for alignment and quality, and packed by hand. Each afternoon, Hector, our loyal UPS driver, picks up orders from our shop, and off they go to become part of your home or project.
Sustainable by Design
We’ve always been deeply committed to sustainability. Our wallpapers are printed on demand meaning we never hold stock that risks going unused or discarded. The only thing stored in our studio is clean, white paper rolls waiting to be turned into art.
We print with water-based latex inks, which are non-toxic, VOC-free, and safe for children and the environment. These inks also protect our team, since the process is free of harsh solvents or airborne toxins. Our papers, fabrics, boxes, and equipment all come from trusted U.S. suppliers, with a focus on local whenever possible.
A Family Business, A Personal Dream
Koko Art Shop has grown slowly and organically, without investors or big loans, just love for what we do and the support of our customers. As a family, we’ve poured our creativity and energy into building something lasting.
For me personally, this isn’t just about wallpaper. My background as a painter and illustrator means every exclusive mural you see started as a piece of art in my studio. Each design carries a story, and my greatest joy is seeing it transformed into part of someone’s home, a nursery, a living room, a store, a space where memories are made.
