Why trying a sample is an awesome idea

Choosing the perfect wallpaper is an exciting endeavor, but it can also be a daunting task. With endless patterns and colors to choose from, how can you ensure that what you envision translates seamlessly onto your walls? The answer lies in one simple yet often overlooked step: trying a sample.

Seeing is Believing

Imagine browsing through our website, falling in love with a wallpaper, only to find that it looks vastly different when applied to your own walls. Lighting, room dimensions, and even furniture can all influence how a wallpaper pattern appears in your space. A sample allows you to see firsthand how the design interacts with your unique environment, ensuring that what you choose enhances your room's aesthetic rather than detracting from it.

Digital vs reality

From the calibration of the screen to the type of surface printed the way we perceive colors varies. Our mindset on what to expect can also alter the perception of color!

We do our best to ensure that our photos are as true to color as possible. However, due to inconsistencies monitors, digital photography and production variations, we cannot guarantee that the color you see on your screen accurately portrays the true color of the product. The finished product may be slightly different than it appears in the preview.

In this picture you can see slight but important differences of how the same art looks in reality versus a screen.

Types of wallpaper

If you are not sure about the type of wallpaper for your project we advise to get samples of all. Each wallpaper material prints different, saturation levels and colors vary even when printed in the same equipment.

Smooth or Textured Walls?

Not all walls are created equal. While some are smooth as glass, others boast intricate textures that add depth and character to a room. Matching your wallpaper to your wall texture is crucial for achieving a flawless finish. A sample lets you feel the texture and gauge how well the wallpaper will adhere to your walls, whether they are smooth, lightly textured, or heavily textured.
Beware of textured walls and removable peel and stick wallpapers.
You might get a removable peel and stick sample and test it on your textured wall. It will probably stick and won't fall off - "But I tested and the sample worked"-. Did you notice the sample was super easy to remove? If a sample does not offer any type of resistance when removing then it's not well attached. Take your sample cut it in half, paste one half to a textured wall and the other half to a smooth wall. You will notice a huge difference in adhesion level between both surfaces. Also consider each full panel of wallpaper weight up to 2 pounds, this weight added to a poor adhesion will cause a coming off the wall.

Beyond Looks

Wallpaper isn't just about looks—it's about durability and ease of application. A sample lets you assess the quality of the material firsthand. You can feel its thickness, gauge its durability, and even test its ease of installation. Investing in a quality wallpaper that stands the test of time starts with sampling.

Avoiding Common Mistakes: Learn from Others

Skipping the sampling process can lead to costly mistakes. Many have found themselves disappointed when the scale of a pattern overwhelms a room or the colors clash unexpectedly. Sampling helps you avoid these pitfalls, ensuring that your final choice is one you'll love for years to come.

A Small Investment, Big Returns

In the grand scheme of redecorating, the cost of a wallpaper sample is minimal compared to the expense of purchasing rolls only to discover they don't meet your expectations. Sampling saves you time, money, and frustration by allowing you to make an informed decision upfront.

Choosing wallpaper is a creative journey, and trying a sample is your trusty guide along the way. It empowers you to make confident decisions, ensuring that the wallpaper you choose enhances your space in every way. So, before you commit to transforming your walls, take that small but crucial step—try a sample. You'll thank yourself when you see the stunning results.
