Large Wallpaper Orders: Why Traditional Wallpaper is Often the Best Choice
At Koko Art Shop, we live and experience every day the magic of Peel and Stick wallpapers, especially for DIY projects. They offer simplicity, convenience and removability, making them an absolute favorite for renters and homeowners alike.
However, when it comes to large orders, especially those that will be professionally installed, there are important factors to consider when choosing between Peel and Stick and Traditional Wallpaper.
Before You Order: Talk to Your Installer
This is the single most important tip we can give.
Peel & Stick is wonderful, but its installation technique is different than traditional wallpapers. Since most professional training focuses only on pasted materials, some installers aren’t comfortable working with adhesive-backed wallpapers.
This is why we always recommend:
✔ Ask your installer which material they prefer before placing a large order.
Traditional Wallpaper: A Reliable Choice for Large Projects
For large-scale orders, particularly those being professionally installed, Traditional Wallpaper is often the preferred choice. Traditional materials are designed for extended durability, making them a top choice among professional installers.
Overview of Our Traditional Materials
If you’re unsure about which material to choose or haven’t yet contacted an installer, here’s a quick guide to our Traditional Wallpaper options:
✔ Traditional Pre-Pasted – A user-friendly option with a water-activated adhesive, making it ideal for both DIYers and professionals. A great choice for large projects where an easy installation process is preferred.
✔ Traditional Non-Pasted – A fiber-based material that requires glue for installation. It provides a strong, durable finish, making it perfect for professional-grade projects and high-end results.
✔ Traditional Canvas Non-Pasted – A fabric-backed vinyl material with a canvas-textured finish, offering a luxurious look. Ideal for commercial or high-end residential projects where durability and texture matter.
How to Order Large Peel and Stick Projects
If you’ve decided on Peel and Stick wallpaper for a large space, the best approach is to break the design into multiple murals within the size limits of our Peel and Stick materials. This ensures each section is produced optimally for installation while maintaining the design's seamless flow.
✔ Place separate mural orders for each wall section within the recommended size limits. Our design team will make them match if needed.
✔ Consider installation strategy: ordering murals in sections can make handling easier.
✔ Measure carefully to ensure the design aligns properly across multiple murals.
If you’re unsure about the best way to divide your order, our team is happy to assist in determining the best layout for your space!
